Distinguished Graduates

The Executive Committee of the National Catholic Educational Association (NCEA) Department of Elementary Schools, desiring to acknowledge the achievements of Catholic elementary school graduates, established this award. The hallmark of Catholic elementary school education is the accomplishments of its graduates. This award is given by the NCEA in cooperation with the local elementary school.

The recipient must be a graduate of the Catholic school that is requesting the award and should have made a significant contribution to American society and/or the Catholic Church which reflects favorably on the education the person received in the Catholic elementary school.
This is the twelfth year for the Distinguished Graduate Award.

This year we have the pleasure of presenting the NCEA Award to an unassuming lady who boldly marches throughout this entire campus, fearlessly leading her beloved “Bucket Brigade.” Evelyn Tribone, a graduate of St. Mary’s Class of 1944, attended Beaver Falls High School and then went on to work at Montgomery Ward’s inventory department. She married Dominic Tribone in 1951 and they have 6 children and 10 grandchildren.

On behalf of the National Catholic Educational Association and everyone involved with St. Mary’s school and parish community, I am proud to give the 2010 NCEA Distinguished Graduate Award to Evelyn Tribone. We are all proud to hail you as a distinguished alumni of St Mary’s School and beloved daughter of this parish.
